A new business Model could be developed through the internet keyword tracking. Track the top search keywords to find out what people want, and then develop the product to satisfy those needs.

A new business strategy can be where you can track the keyword/phrase searches that people make on search engines. This would give you an idea about what information people are really looking for. If that product is not readily available, or has a huge potential, then you could go ahead and develop it and then market it. This can be best explained by this personal experience that I had recently. Once I was working on an assignment related to most searched words on the internet, and I kept seeing this word “Morpheus” in all the top ten searched word/phrase list.

This got me thinking. I didn’t know why people would be searching for ‘Morpheus’ - the only ‘Morpheus’ I knew about was a character in the movie The Matrix - and I couldn’t believe that was the Morpheus everyone was searching for.

So I did a little research to find out the whys and what of this Morpheus The Real Morpheus not easily understandable.

On searching the Google search engine I found out what actually Morpheus is. It is a File sharing tool similar in concept to Napster now redundant. If Morpheus is installed on your computer then you can tap into the network of file swapping via the internet- file swapping mainly of MP3 videos and other files as well.

Even though so many people are looking for morpheus and information about it, still it is not very easily available, neither is it easy to understand or install or even use. What ever description of Morpheus was available on the internet was very technical about what it does and not much on how to use it or install it

Some technical description of the Morpheus given was: the Morpheus application (client) allows users to search and find almost any type of digital file (audio, video, photos, reference data, reports, documents, etc.) through a secure peer-to-peer network unlike any other. Content, service and application developers can use the Morpheus application to distribute their works, products or goods using any third-party digital rights management (DRM) application. The users can then quickly and efficiently distribute those works through the MusicCity network, thus giving them direct access to millions of consumers around the globe. Even though this information does not say much to a layman, still this product and information about it was on high demand, as Morpheus was showing in the list of top 10 most searched words on the search engines.

The Opportunity to develop a new Product.

Since the demand for Morpheus product, and its literature on how to install and use it was on an increase, it made a lot of business sense to just go ahead and make a manual (product) on the use and installation of Morpheus.

Sure enough, on searching the internet I found that some one had already written an e-book on Morpheus- how to use it and install it. The book titled ‘How to Install and Use the Morpheus Client’ was available on Amazon, priced at $7.95, as an instant downloadable PDF through Amazons honor Payment system- which meant that registered Amazon buyers could buy the book. The seller had timed everything right for himself- the only mistake he made was listing the book in the Amazon Honor Payment system. If he had listed the book on normal amazon site or list the book in a store created on the amazon. Then even ordinary searches on Amazon would lead the person to this book in the store.

Here’s an Interesting New Business Model?

This way of offering new products to the people, after analyzing and tracking the most searched words on the search engines is absolutely a brand new strategy.

The business model would work on the following key points:

1. On the various Search engines track the most searched words and phrases- take the top 10. This will give you an idea about what information are people looking for around that time.

2. When you are able to find one thing or product or information that people are looking for, you can start by learning what is it about that product that people want to know.

3. With all the knowledge and information that you gathered about the product, you can create an ebook on that information /product. Make the ebook easy to understand with screen shots and other exhibits, so that even a non- technical person would be able to understand the book. Save the final book in PDF format.

4. After the book is ready, you could list it on a private Amazon store, for sale. Or even on any other credible e-store or even Ebay. This will ensure that people will find the book when they are searching for the product information.

5. You can make use of immediate download to deliver the ebook after the customer has purchased the book. An estore would put the buying and selling on auto mode, and you will not have to maintain hard copy inventories and shipments etc.

6. The first time you set up an e-store, it may be time consuming- but once set you could even add more products to the store.
